THE HOSPITAL
Dr. C. L. Patel, Honourable Chairman, CVM, inaugurated Surajben Govindbhai Patel Ayurveda
Hospital and Maternity Home on 25th of January 2005 at New Vallabh Vidyanagar. The Hospital has
grown leaps and bounds over years and now has become a towering structure, fully equipped with
qualified staff, ultramodern diagnostic and therapeutic equipments.
The Hospital provides O.P.D. & I.P.D. facilities, diagnostic aids like X-ray, Ultra Sonography,
Pathological laboratory, etc. Special therapeutic units like Panchakarma, Agnikarma, Ksharkarma,
Yoga, Cosmetology, Pathya unit, Physiotherapy, etc which are fully operational. Provision for expert
guidance from qualified physicians in specialties like Kaya Chikitsa (Medicine), Panchakarma, Stri-
Roga and Prasuti Tantra (Gynecology & Obstetrics), Shalakya (ENT & Opthalmology), Balaroga (Pediatrics) & Shalya (Surgery) is available round the clock. The I.P.D. has admission capacity for
more than 300 patients with separate wards for different departments and has special and semispecial
rooms. Single and double bedded cottages for elite class are being constructed.
Nearly 9,22,000 patients have been treated and medicines worth about Rs. 1.5 crore have been
distributed absolutely free to the patients till date (January 2005 – May 2020).
The Hospital organizes free Medical Camps in the nearby villages under the rural health programme
on regular basis where patients are diagnosed and distributed free medicines. The Hospital also
runs a Mobile Clinic and Satelite OPDs to cater to the needs of the patients who cannot reach to
avail the benefits of the facilities available in the Hospital.
A mass immunization programme "SUVARNA PRASHANA" is organized in the Hospital campus once
a month on Pushya star day to promote the Immunity and Intellectual abilities of the children below
the age of 10 years. So far about 2,20,812 children have been immunized under this scheme.
Gayatri Yagna and Customized Morning Mass Prayer are performed daily to impart pure and serene
atmosphere.
